Education System:

To apply, students typically need academic certificates (SSC, HSC, or equivalent), transcripts, a valid passport, Statement of Purpose (SOP), recommendation letters, and proof of language proficiency (IELTS/TOEFL or TOPIK for Korean programs). Some courses like art and design may also require a portfolio.

Language Proficiency:
Many programs are taught in English. However, learning Korean helps with daily life, part-time jobs, and internships. Korean language courses are offered by most universities and supported by the Korean government.

Tuition Fees and Living Costs:
Public university tuition ranges from USD 1,500 to 4,000 per semester, while private university tuition can go up to USD 6,000. Monthly living expenses typically range from USD 500 to 1,000. Dormitories cost around USD 200 to 400 per month.

Scholarships:
The Korean government and individual universities offer a range of scholarships. The Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) covers tuition, airfare, and living expenses. University scholarships are also available for high-achieving or financially needy students.

Part-Time Work Opportunities:
International students on a D-2 visa can work up to 20 hours per week during the semester and full-time during vacations. Jobs include working in restaurants, retail, tutoring, or internships. Permission from the immigration office is required for part-time jobs.

Student Visa:
Students applying for degree programs need a D-2 visa, while language course students need a D-4 visa. Visa application requires an admission letter, proof of funds, valid passport, and other supporting documents depending on the university’s and embassy’s requirements.

Accommodation:
Students can stay in university dormitories (affordable and secure), rent a goshiwon (small private room), or lease an apartment. Dormitories are usually furnished and may include meal plans. Early application is recommended as spaces are limited.
